6am yesterday
I check my Line.
My daughter is already at the airport. She woke up on time, so made it without any complications.
Suddenly the flight seems to be delayed for departure….
Wait…..
It’s cancelled!
Her father calls her and books the next flight for her, but she had to go back out and check in.
She rushes to get checked in for the next flight.
Finally again at the Gate….but wait!
Could this one be cancelled as well?!?!
She calls her father to check on line.
It was cancelled!!!
Oh! No!
In a rush to get the bullet train and try to get at least to the end of her friend’s weeding ceremony, she takes a taxi.
The driver is an oldman and drives with a lot of care for the weather is snowy.
She makes it to the station, buys the ticket but the door closes before she can get on.
Oh!!! No!!!
What’s going on? Should I not go to the wedding? She wonders for a second but she remembers she’s the only one invited from their highschool years. She waits and takes the next train and attend at least the reception.
My husband says: “The highway is closed, so it’s difficult to move”.
I say: “Maybe we should go and wait for her at the station to take her to the hall and help her with her bags so she can get dressed and so on.”
We didn’t have any plan besides picking her up at the airport and having breakfast together, so he agreed and we headed to Hiroshima.
On the way we met another friend and finally we were at the station.
Yuka came out form the station, we drove her to the place.
While she was making her hair, my husband in the driver seat was writing the envelope she had to handle when she registered.
She had thought just going to the second part of the wedding, but she entered the ceremony hall just by the side of the Mazda Zoom zoom stadium. Just two minutes before the first part started she was guided by the bell man to the ceremony. She could attend the whole event after a very busy morning.
My husband and I thought about going to watch a movie, but since it started snowing heavily again we went to an apartment we have in the city yo leave my daughter’s backpack a little purse and some other things. The way back was hardly moving. We took the mountain road, and everything went good until suddenly at a steep slope a car was slipping. Some people were getting off their cars to help him, and we managed to move so he had more space to maneuver.
We followed and then going down the hill again a lot of cars sucked.
The snow didn’t seem to stop and. It was getting darker.
One man with a scope passed walking by our side. My husband asked: “Can you handle the car? Maybe I should go help”.
I agreed. He usually gets a little angry with me when I help people, I always tell him it is something that comes naturally, so this time being him the one offering help was really touching.
As soon as he got off the car, the cars started moving. Then I thought that it is a war for God to show us how when we have a kind heart our paths will always open.
We all arrived safe.
At night my daughter messaged saying her friend’s parents were very happy she could be there in that important moment of her life
My son texted also saying he was back at his dormitory ready for work the next day after going skiing to the mountains in Hiroshima.
And that is how nature teaches us to believe and lets us know we always have the answer to any situation in our heart.
